WASHINGTON—The National Governors Association (NGA) today announced a new project aimed at helping states expand training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Five states – Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Indiana and Maryland – have been selected to travel to Wisconsin to learn about how that state is improving employment outcomes for people with disabilities through strengthening secondary to postsecondary transition services, supporting and retaining employees with disabilities and partnering with private sector employers on education and hiring initiatives.
