Fourth National Summit on State Cybersecurity

In January 2021, the NGA Center for Best Practices hosted the Fourth National Summit on State Cybersecurity, in conjunction with Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson. The summit was virtual and took place over a series of three sessions:

  • Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm ET
  • Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm ET
  • Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 1:00pm – 4:30pm ET

This unique event convened Governors’ offices, state homeland security advisors, chief information officers, chief information security officers, National Guard leaders and others from states and territories. Participants engaged in a series of interactive sessions sharing innovative solutions to address the evolving threat landscape.

NGA Cyber Competition

The National Governors Association invited high school students to compete January 6-8, 2021 in a free, virtual event that will test students’ knowledge on general trivia, cybersecurity, and problem-solving skills. The top five-scoring participants were recognized by Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards at the 2021 National Summit on State Cybersecurity on January 21, 2020.
