About
Eloy S. Inos was appointed governor on February 20, 2013, following his predecessor’s resignation. He was re-elected in 2014.
Prior to ascending to the governor’s office, Inos was serving as Lieutenant Governor by appointment from May 2009 until January 2010 and by election from January 2010 to February 2013. He previously served as the secretary of finance for the CNMI. In prior administrations, he served as director of finance for 11 years. From 1994 to 2006, Inos joined the private sector taking on key leadership roles as president and vice president of companies specializing in insurance, travel, international trade and business development.
Inos earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting and management and a minor in public administration from the University of Guam in 1981.
On December 29th, 2015 Inos died in office while recovering from open heart surgery.
