The National Governors Association’s Center for Best Practices (NGA Solutions) and NGA Global, in collaboration with the Embassy of Denmark, Embassy of Canada and Embassy of Australia, hosted this summit to help states gather ideas from countries that are leading in the deployment of emerging energy technologies of offshore wind, energy storage, and carbon capture, utilization and storage. For each technology, the summit examined innovative activities and policies that each of the three countries is undertaking to foster deployment and development, highlight key policy actions states can take to advance these technologies and spotlight early movers in the U.S. Attendees included governors as well as high-level representatives from federal and state governments, partner countries, industry, nongovernmental organizations and others.
